“I believe the 21st century should remember this as one of the greatest discoveries in history.” – A Conversation with Izair Costa

Izair Costa is 75 years old. He lives in Brazil. And when his daughter told him to fly to Costa Rica to remove metal from his mouth, he thought she was being dramatic. 

She wasn’t. 

“This Is About Your Health”: A Father’s Journey to Biological Dentistry 

The following is a transcription of an interview with Izair Costa at TRYBE in Costa Rica. 

TRYBE: Can you tell us who you are and how you found out about biological dentistry? 

My name is Izair Costa. I am from Brazil. My daughter, Priscilla, is a dentist. She works in the United States, in Utah. She discovered this new field of natural dental sciences, this new world. And she insisted that I had some metals in my mouth. 

She told me, “Father, you are experiencing health problems because of these things. You need to remove them.” 

And she told me that the reference for this would be Dr. Fernández, here in Costa Rica. 

TRYBE: What was your first reaction when she told you to come to Costa Rica? 

I said, “Well, in all the United States, is there no one else like this?” 

She answered, “No, this is the reference.” 

So we came here. 

I told her, “I am seventy-five years old. I no longer need to worry about appearances.” 

She replied, “No, Father, this is about your health.” 

TRYBE: What made you decide to go through with the treatment? 

So I came with her, and I believe that this is truly something meaningful. You understand when you see that there are a group of people with a shared purpose who are bringing health to everyone. 

And if you think of the pain because you are going to take an injection or something like that, that is nothing compared to the results it can give you for years throughout your life. 

I believe that the work of helping other people is truly meaningful work. That is, to work, to do something for the good of others. So I understand that these are people chosen to carry out a special mission. 

TRYBE: How did you feel being here with your daughter? 

I was blessed by being with my daughter during this time and to be convinced by her that this was the best path for me. That is why I came here, and I already had all the metals removed from my mouth. 

TRYBE: What have you noticed about other patients here? 

I am glad to see, not only in my own case, but also in others. People who are coming here seeking the same thing. People younger in age, people who have health problems, who do not know where they come from and do not realize that many times it is directly related to those metals in their mouths. 

If only people could understand that. 

TRYBE: What did your dentists in Brazil say when you told them about this? 

There is strong resistance from traditional dentists. That is why I am here, to give my own testimony. 

So, I had two dentists in Brazil who performed these treatments and root canals, and I spoke with one of them. Both are very polite. One of them in particular is a doctor with advanced education, postgraduate studies, and so on. 

And he told me, “Please, do not accept this, do not go through with it, because it has no scientific validation.” 

Another dentist said, “Well, this is natural and it is good. I have heard about it and there is evidence to support it. So I believe you are making the right decision.” 

So, there were different positions. 

TRYBE: Why do you think there’s so much resistance? 

I believe that the producers of medications and others have their resistance because they will lose a large share of the market. But the truth is that many people will benefit, and I feel grateful to be one of them and to be able to tell others why this is good. 

TRYBE: Can you tell us exactly what you had done? 

I had the metals removed. I had four metal implants, and another four or five root canal treatments. They were all removed, now replaced with ceramic, and I am now placing temporary teeth to finish the process. 

TRYBE: How was the recovery? Did you experience pain? 

We purchased remedies like painkillers, but I did not need them. I had no pain. 

Yes, nine teeth were placed, but it felt to me as if it were something normal. It did not feel traumatic. 

I feel no pain. I am in good spirits. It has been two days since I had the teeth removed, and I feel very well. 

TRYBE: Have you heard from other patients about their results? 

I have heard testimonies of other people who were healed from serious illnesses that were healed simply because biological dentistry removed the source of their problems, which were the metals in their mouths. 

TRYBE: Any final thoughts you’d like to share? 

I believe the 21st century should remember this as one of the greatest discoveries in history. 

To bring health to a person in such an objective way, so seemingly simple. I am delighted.
