Dr. Alejandro Mora

Regenerative Aesthetics Director

Prosthodontist and co-founder of TRYBE Health, Costa Rica's first dental practice built on biological dentistry, combining functional medicine with oral health. What Dr. Mora Treats

A personal approach to patient care

Dr. Mora has received training in both dental occlusion and aesthetics, and because of this he starts off each case by examining the bite and the gums before carrying out the restoration.

01

Zirconia Implants

Metal-free implants made from zirconia, a ceramic your body reads as neutral rather than as foreign metal. Same strength, no galvanic current, no gray line at the gum. For patients dealing with sensitivity, inflammation, or who simply do not want titanium in their jaw, this is the option worth understanding before you decide.

02

Safe Mercury Amalgam Removal (SMART)

Dr. Mora follows the SMART protocol developed by the IAOMT to prevent inhaling the mercury that has been removed. A rubber dam isolates the tooth, high-volume suction and a dedicated vapor evacuator pull air away from the face, and the patient breathes clean air through a nasal supply. The filling is sectioned out in chunks under heavy water cooling rather than ground into dust, with protective covering for the patient and the full team. The old material is then replaced with something biocompatible, usually a 3D-printed ceramic filling with no metal underneath.

03

Cosmetic Dentistry

3D-printed ceramic fillings, bridges, and crowns designed digitally and milled to fit, with no metal underneath. The goal is a restoration nobody can point to. Natural translucency, correct proportion, and a seal that holds up because it was designed for your bite, not for a catalog.

04

Full Mouth Rehabilitation

Rebuilding function and proportion across the whole arch when wear, collapse, or old dentistry has changed the way your bite works. What we can do is make it predictable, staged, and clear from the first appointment.

05

Minimally Invasive Veneers

Porcelain veneers with an average of 0.5mm prep, planned digitally before a single tooth is touched. Traditional prep removes 1.5 to 2mm. Some cases need no prep at all. Enamel does not grow back, so we treat it like it matters.

How He Works

Key factors that influence treatment outcomes

1

First, we consider your case, not your teeth.

Before planning any procedure, we carefully examine your oral function with the aid of scans, photographs, bite analysis, and a review of your past treatments. This full assessment helps to guarantee successful results.

2

The solution is designed before any work is carried out.

The treatments are carefully planned digitally in advance so that you can look at and approve the suggested result. Our approach is to place importance on function rather than on appearance in order that your smile may be both appealing and long-lasting.

3

We function as a team, and you are part of it.

This isn't something that is handled by one person on their own. Treatment is provided in a cooperative manner. Your case is examined by specialists, our laboratory, and the functional medicine team, all based in the same place. You take an active role throughout the process since patients who are well informed can make better decisions about their health.

Know all the details before your trip

What does a prosthodontist do and why is it important in my dental procedure?

The specialty of prosthodontics involves the restoration and replacement of teeth and includes three extra years of training following dental school. Since it is important, the specialty deals with occlusion, that is, how your teeth come together and bear load, because this determines whether a restoration will last or break.

Will the doctor take my case?

He takes charge of the restorative phase in cases involving full mouth rehabilitation, and the surgical procedures such as implant placement are managed by the surgical team, with the treatment plan being developed jointly before treatment starts.

Does he speak English?

Correct, since appointments, planning and follow-up are all available in English, the patient coordinator also looks after the arrangements concerning scheduling and travel in English.

Should I be assessed prior to my trip to Costa Rica?

Certainly. International patients begin by sending photos, and if you go to Costa Rica, a CT scan will be part of your treatment plan. This is sufficient for an initial assessment and for obtaining a treatment quote before you decide to proceed with the trip.

Start with a case review

Send your photos for review. Dr. Mora will review your case and provide a treatment plan before you travel to Costa Rica.
